Columbus College of Art & Design Alumni and Friends:
Columbus College of Art & Design has reached an historic milestone. In 2005, the Board of Trustees embraced a plan to launch a comprehensive campaign with a goal of raising $12 million.
It is our hope that this campaign will usher in a new era at CCAD. Our campaign theme, Form. Balance. Value. — CCAD’s Creative Drive, represents the building blocks of art and design. As CCAD amplifies its impact on Central Ohio’s cultural and economic bedrock, the college will draw upon this theme to enhance its longstanding “creative presence” through this essential fundraising initiative.
Over the past three years, we have sought and received truly gratifying support from our community at every level and from every kind of donor: individuals, corporations, foundations, and government alike. We now reach out to our alumni with the conviction and confidence that you will join this great partnership to meet our ambitious campus improvement goals.
The campaign is intended to accomplish two important ends: upgrade studios and housing on our downtown campus and competitively strengthen resources available for student scholarships and need-based grants, off-campus study, and innovative curricula through the growth of special endowment and project funds. Alumni, more than any other supporters, can appreciate what this will mean for the institution and for the students who will pursue an art or design degree here.
At CCAD, we know that our world needs creativity and innovation in order to survive and thrive. We are serious about our mission—to prepare aspiring designers and visual artists for successful and influential careers. And you can envision exactly what the successful execution of that mission will mean to our future students.
Thank you in advance for your investment in CCAD’s Creative Drive.
